Another gorgeous venue Chirpee Flowers decorate often, for weddings and events, in the very centre of Lewes, Sussex, is the lovely Pelham House.
It's an elegant red-brick 16th Century Georgian townhouse that has been extensively restored and renovated since 2018.
Whether you choose to get married outside at the pretty gazebo or in the Ceremony Room itself (which seats up to 125 Guests) you will be sure to feel very special in this intimate setting.
We had the pleasure of decorating Pelham House even before it was a wedding venue, in its former life as a Council building. In my previous role as a floristry lecturer, my students would bedeck the house every Christmas with oversized wreaths and garlands down the staircase. Fond memories! Here are some examples of how to decorate Pelham House for your wedding.
If you prefer to get married indoors, the Goring Ceremony room will provide an elegant white-panelled room with a calm, quiet atmosphere.
If you are unsure of where to place flowers - a Ceremony table decoration is a bit of a must-have.
Here are some examples of recent table decorations at Pelham House.
If you prefer something less traditional - we can create bespoke free-standing designs to get married under or for either side of you.
Chair decorations make your walk down the aisle turn your event into a really special occasion.
They can be lush designs attached to the back of each chair for an intimate wedding, or simple posies tied to the aisle side. Placed alternately then they don't overcrowd the space.
The Goring room has a lovely fireplace - ideal for a garland or a long and low arrangement.

The Blencowe Room is a large stately room with high ceilings.
Ideally, you will need some elevated design for your tables to make the room feel in proportion.
A lot of couples will decide to move the Ceremony arrangement to the top table.
Our only advice is that because of the different lengths of the table (the ceremony table seats two people - usually top tables seat between 6 - 12 people ) you will need additional decoration, otherwise it may look sparse compared to the rest of the room.
Either a divided garland for the full length of the table or swag, leaving space for the ceremony arrangement, or a collection of floral posies or small bottles with single or multiple stems look great. Add candles and lanterns for an extra atmosphere.
